Hello there! I’m Christa and welcome to my little home on the Internet! I am an award winning professional photographer born and raised in the Annapolis area. I absolutely adore my hometown and am lucky to live along the Chesapeake and be in the center of the Baltimore – D.C. metro area!
I have photographed over 100 weddings since I started my photography business in 2012 after graduating from Towson University with my B.A. in Art + Design: Photo Imaging.
From the moment I picked up a camera for my high school’s newspaper, I fell in love and knew I was going to college to study photography and I started dreaming big.
I find my true joy in the amazing opportunity while being behind the camera, capturing true and amazing love stories in timeless, romantic, fun and candid photographs. I love photographing weddings and giving all of my clients the personalized service and great experience they deserve!
I’m a true believer in soul mates, and I am always in awe of the amazing ways we connect and find one another – how can it be described any other way than fate? I love adventure, and the most amazing adventure for me is telling someone’s story – especially love stories! I’m always passport ready and will tell your story where ever it takes us! I love to have fun with my couples, their bridal parties and families – a photo shoot with me is usually full of laughter! I strive to make couples feel at ease and place their trust completely in me on their wedding day by being professional and knowledgeable.
When I’m not shooting and editing weddings (when is that?), you’ll probably find me attending a concert, binge watching Netflix, sweating at the gym or in a hot yoga or a pure barre class, nose deep in a good book, exploring cities, or enjoying life with my amazing boyfriend, Jason.
So, let’s get coffee!! I am so excited to get to know you and hear all about your amazing story!
Things I Love
MUSIC FESTIVALS: Being in a crowd of people you don’t know, who all share the same love for the same genre, artist or song, is truly an experience! Everyone is so close, singing along together and participating in something extraordinary. If I could time travel, my first stop would be Woodstock.
FOSTER THE PEOPLE: This band inspires me so much. Most of their songs are so hopeful, and they have a very true perspective on life. “Houdini” is my favorite song. EVER. I have seen them live eight times, and got to meet Mark Foster when I ran into him on the street in Philly as I was walking to their concert that night! Happiest day of my life!!
JAPANESE CULTURE: I’ve always been captivated by the culture of Japan. Since my trip to Japan and homestay with a Japanese family in 2008, the culture has become so much a part of me. I love their elegant simplicity and approach on life. They work hard to achieve their goals and strive to be the best always. Not to mention the fact that everything is viewed as art is amazing!
F. SCOTT FITZGERALD: My favorite author. I just love the way his stories are written. “The Great Gatsby” is my favorite book. I adore the 1920’s and Art Deco.
THE VAMPIRE DIARIES: My favorite TV show, ever. I’ve traveled to Georgia three times (so far) to the small town of Covington where the show films and got to watch them film a few scenes for the final episodes of season seven. I’m OBSESSED! #TeamDamon #DelenaIsEndgame
SEAFOOD: Crabs, shrimp, salmon, and sushi! I can’t get enough! I’m a true Maryland girl with a Japanese twist!
INDIE MUSIC: Nothing inspires me more than the amazing sound and lyrics of a good indie band. Some of my favorites include Lana del Rey, Lorde, Atlas Genius, Passion Pit, FUN., Imagine Dragons, Artic Monkeys, Bombay Bicycle Club, Phoenix, The Naked and Famous, Two Door Cinema Club, The Kooks, Mumford and Sons, The Lumineers, Of Monsters and Men, and many, MANY MORE!
FUN FACT: I had an incredibly wild ride photographing live music and bands from 2012 – 2016. To be able to capture performers like Ke$ha, Imagine Dragons, FUN., John Legend, Jonas Brothers, and many more has been such a unique opportunity that I still can’t believe is real life. I have left the music photography industry to focus solely on my true photograph passion, which is photographing weddings, but those memories are a big part of who I am. I owe it all to the big dreamer, 16-year old Christa, who made a huge goal and dream while attending one of many Jonas Brothers concerts.
